Description

This is a milepost located at the junction of Driver's End Lane and Park Lane in Codicote. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of white painted cast iron. The milepost has a triangular shape and features two triangular-headed panels that are inscribed with the distances to Hitchin (7 miles) and London (27 miles) in black Roman-style capitals.
