Description

This milepost, located approximately 400 metres southeast of the junction with Netherfield Lane, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted white, featuring raised black lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape with a stop below the upper inscription. It is inscribed with the distances to London (117 miles), Derby (9 miles), Loughborough (8 miles), and the parish of Lockington.
