Description
This is a mid 19th century milepost located on London Road in Kegworth. It is made of cast iron and painted white, featuring raised black lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape and is stopped below the top plate, which is inscribed with "TO LONDON 114". The sides of the post display the distances to Derby (12 miles) and Loughborough (5 miles). A part of the milepost that names the parish is buried below ground. Additionally, in smaller raised letters on the stop, it reads "CAMBER".
