Description

The stone seat with a parasol in the Chinese garden is a garden ornament from the late 19th century, possibly of Chinese or Japanese origin. It features a carved stone seat with a curved back shaped like the wings of two beasts, and has foliage ornamentation on the front. Above the seat is a blue-painted parasol. This feature is part of the Chinese garden that was designed by the first Lord Crawshaw around 1890 to 1900.
