This is a mid 19th-century milepost located near the junction with the A50 in Lockington-Hemington. It is made of cast iron and painted white, featuring raised black lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape with a stop below the upper inscription. It is inscribed with the distances to London (118 miles), Derby (8 miles), Loughborough (9 miles), and Hemington parish.
