Description
Hall Farmhouse is a house from the mid to late 18th century, with 19th-century extensions. It is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof with coped gables and flanking brick chimneys, forming an L-plan. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three bays. Notable architectural details include a good brick eaves cornice with corbelled dentils and transomed wooden casements, with three-light windows flanking a two-light window, all featuring gauged brick heads. The central 20th-century door has a rectangular fanlight and a similar head above it. There is an attic window in the left gable. A two-storey rear wing has sash windows, while to the right, there is a 19th-century L-plan extension with three-light wooden casements in a projecting gable. A hipped 20th-century porch is located in the angle with a casement window above. Inside, the farmhouse has a central 18th-century staircase with turned balusters, a moulded handrail, and a closed string. The interior also features large high fireplaces with stop-chamfered lintels and later mantelpiece cornices, as well as stop-chamfered spine beams.
