Description
Nup End Farm Cottages are a pair of houses located on Driver's End Lane in Codicote. The house on the left dates from the early 17th century, while the house on the right (No 1) is probably from the later 18th century. The right house features a chequered red brick front typical of that period. Both houses are two storeys tall and have five 19th-century three-light casement windows, with those on the ground floor having segmental heads. The steeply pitched roof is covered with machine tiles and has 19th-century red brick chimney stacks, with the left stack sitting on a 17th-century base. Inside, the roof structure has clasped purlins, and the left end shows heavy construction that is exposed. There are also 20th-century gabled extensions at the rear.
