Description

The roadside well and enclosure at The Cottage is a structure from the 19th century, with the well possibly being older. The enclosure features red brick walls and is circular, measuring about 2 meters in diameter. It has tangential wing walls that extend to the roadside on the west side and a central entrance also on the west side. The wall stands about 1 meter high and is topped with semi-circular coping bricks. There is stone paving leading to the roadside, and a grating covers the deep circular well.
