Description
Horseshoe Farmhouse is a house that was once a public house, dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. The front features a timber frame on a chequered brick red and black sill, with roughcast and plain margins. The other walls may have been brick from the beginning. It has steep old red tile roofs and is a two-storey building that is three windows wide, situated on a slope above the road and facing south, with single-storey wings at each end in line. There are internal gable chimneys at the east and west ends of the main house, and the entrance is located a third of the way from the east gable. The south front has flush three-light leaded casement windows, a gabled porch, and a deep coved plaster eaves cornice. The east room features an open fireplace and an original spit.
