Description
Weston Mead is a house dating from the 17th century, with a south bay and extensions to the east added in the early to mid-20th century. It features a timber frame on a low brick sill, with the frame exposed in the older part and roughcast panels. The extensions are also roughcast. The building has steep old red tile roofs, which are half-hipped on the house and pyramidal on the square projecting garage at the northeast extension.
The house is two storeys high and has an internal chimney plan with three cells. It faces west, with the north gable facing the road. The internal chimney is located a third of the way from the former south end, which has been extended by one bay. There is a lower gabled rear wing aligned with the stack, a lean-to on the roadside against the north gable, and a single-storey range extending east from the lean-to, culminating in a taller garage with a pyramid roof.
The west front features four casement windows on each floor, which are irregularly set, and a projecting gabled porch at the left-hand end.
