Description

Glebe Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is timber-framed with a low stuccoed sill, roughcast walls, and a steep, thatched roof with decorative ridge details. The house is two storeys high and has three windows facing west, overlooking a long front garden. A small, single-storey extension with a slate roof and a two-light casement window projects to the north. The north gable of the main house is dark weatherboarded, and a small gabled thatched porch shelters the entrance, which is positioned beside a large, north-facing gable containing a narrow red brick chimney. An old two-light leaded casement window is located above the porch at the left-hand end of the front elevation. Three-light and two-light flush casement windows are also present. A plank door is set within the porch. Internally, the house features exposed timber framing and ceiling beams.
