Description

Old Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber frame set on a black painted plinth, with roughcast walls and a steep thatched roof that is half-hipped to the east. This small house has two cells and one and a half storeys, positioned on a bank beside the road and facing north. It has two three-light casement windows, along with a single-light window in the eastern part and a swept eyebrow dormer at the eaves. An internal chimney is located slightly from the eastern end. The entrance is on the eastern end, accessed through a plank door to the right of a projecting rectangular thatched bay that contains casement windows. There is also a three-light casement window in the gable above.
