7/102 Old Farmhouse - GV II

Farmhouse. C17, C18 brick front, early C19 windows. Plum brick chequered with blue headers, light red brick dressings. Steep old red tile roofs. A large L-plan house set back from road facing E with tall 2-storeys, 3-cells, internal-chimney plan front range and lower 2-storeys rear wing at NW. S internal gable chimney to front range probably added with brick front. Symmetrical E front imposed on older planned building. Triple sash windows to each floor to each end of front and smaller central sash window with 2/2 panes over entrance, itself flanked by 2 narrow windows. 4 panels door, top 2 glazed, in heavy moulded surround. Chamfered plinth, plat-band, decorative vertical bands of blue brick, flush box sashes, and segmental arches to ground floor. Height of roof suggests original attics. Top of main stack rebuilt in C18 brick. 4 windows long rear wing.
