Description

WORLABY LOW ROAD TA 01 SW (east side) 5/45 Worlaby Grange 19.12.85 - II Farmhouse. C17 origins to rear section, late C18 - early C19 front; later alterations. Rendered brick with pantile roof. U-shaped on plan: 2-room central entrance-hall front, 2-room wing to rear left with outshut in angle and single-room C17 wing at right angles. 2 storeys to front and left return; single storey with attic to rear wing. Front: 2 storeys, 2 first- floor windows. Plinth. Entrance to left of centre: recessed half-glazed door beneath overlight with ornamental glazing bars in panelled reveal with ribbed doorcase. 12-pane ground-floor sashes in flush wooden architraves with projecting sills. First floor: unequal 4-pane sashes in similar surrounds. Stepped and cogged brick eaves cornice. C20 end stacks. Rear sections have 12-pane and 16-pane sashes, 2-light and 3-light sliding sashes with glazing bars; similar eaves cornice. Interior: rear section contains chamfered beams and exposed joists.
