Description
Worlaby Grange is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the 17th century in its rear section, while the front part was built in the late 18th to early 19th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is constructed of rendered brick and has a pantile roof. It is U-shaped in plan, featuring a two-room central entrance hall at the front, a two-room wing to the rear left with an outshut in the angle, and a single-room 17th-century wing at right angles.
The front elevation has two storeys with two first-floor windows. It includes a plinth and an entrance located to the left of the center, which features a recessed half-glazed door beneath an overlight with ornamental glazing bars in a panelled reveal with a ribbed doorcase. The ground floor has 12-pane sash windows in flush wooden architraves with projecting sills, while the first floor has unequal 4-pane sashes in similar surrounds. The building is topped with a stepped and cogged brick eaves cornice and has 20th-century end stacks.
The rear sections contain 12-pane and 16-pane sashes, as well as 2-light and 3-light sliding sashes with glazing bars, and share a similar eaves cornice. Inside, the rear section features chamfered beams and exposed joists.
