Description

Ffynnon Fair and Bridge is a structure featuring a mortared wall made of squared rubble stone, with an entrance on the east side. This wall encloses an area approximately 2.5 meters square. Inside, the stone paving descends in two tiered stages, creating a pavement around a pool that measures about 1.2 meters square. A run-off channel directs excess water under the boundary wall to a nearby brook.

To the north of the well enclosure, there is a small bridge. Two water channels cut diagonally across the roadway. The bridge is supported by a large, crudely-worked boulder that has rectangular openings with slab lintels on either side. The roadway is flanked on both sides by a low stone wall with raked copings, which curves at the approaches and continues at the southwest end to connect with the well enclosure to the south.
