Description

Green End Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and a later addition in the 20th century. The house is timber-framed with roughcast rendering, and has a thatched roof with a decorative ridge. The north wing has a red tile half-hipped roof, and a pentice at the northwest corner. It is a one-and-a-half-storey, two-cell house with an internal chimney plan, with the west gable facing the road and south. The south front has four swept dormer windows in the eaves, and four two-light casement windows. The entrance is now located in the lower, one-and-a-half-storey rear wing which includes a carriageway. There are two dormers in the eaves on the north side. A central red brick chimney has two flues.
