Description
This listing describes a terrace of three buildings consisting of a public house, houses, and a shop, located on the north side of Kimpton High Street. The end houses, numbers 20 and 24, date from the early to mid-19th century and are constructed of chequered red brick, with slate roofs. The central section, numbers 22 and 24A, is later 18th century and is built of plain red brick with a plain tile roof, and dentilled brick eaves. The windows of numbers 20 and 24 are glazing bar casements, while number 24 has recessed 8/8-pane sashes with rubbed brick lintels. The central section has three square window bays with flat hoods. A porch in brick was added to number 20 circa 1980. Number 24 has rear extensions built from flint with brick dressings. Four ridge chimney stacks are present.
