Description

This is a mid-18th century house with a rear wing dating back to the 17th century, and later 19th-century details at the west end. The main part of the house is built of red brick, with a plain tile roof and coped gable ends. The front is plastered and the side is chequered brick. It is two storeys high with attics. There are two sash windows on each floor, with glazing bars in the upper windows. A moulded brick floor band runs around the building. Internal chimney stacks have moulded cornices. Two hipped dormers light the attics. The west side has sash windows with glazing bars. The rear wing is timber-framed, with a painted brick ground floor and a plastered upper floor that juts out on heavy oak consoles, topped with a hipped, plain tile roof. A further extension exists on the east side, dating back to the 18th century.
