Description
The Old White House is a house and shop dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with its roof raised in the early 20th century. The ground floor is painted brick, while the upper floor features parquet flooring. It has a plain tile roof and consists of three timber-framed bays. A large chimney stack is located at the center of the east side, with a spiral staircase attached to the stack in the front lobby entrance. The building has a four-window front elevation and is two storeys high. There is a narrow 19th-century gabled bay on the east side, with 19th-century glazing bar casements and sash windows. The gabled porch features lancet arches and a figured 17th-century cartouche in the tympanum. To the east of the porch, there is a two-storey canted sash window bay, and on the west gable end, there is a 16th or 17th-century window with three square lights.
