Description

This is a cottage range located on the north side of High Street in Kimpton. It has a timber-framed core dating from the 17th century or earlier, but the front facade was largely rebuilt in the late 18th or early 19th century using chequered red brick. The roof is covered with machine tiles. The building is two storeys high and has four 19th-century casement windows; the ground-floor windows have wide segmental heads. The east gable end is slightly recessed from the front wall and displays earlier 18th-century brickwork with a floor band. The interiors of numbers 32 and 34 retain exposed timber framing. A rebuilt 17th/18th-century chimney stack is present at number 34.
