Description

This is a row of five late 18th to early to mid 19th century terraced buildings, numbered 11 to 15 Station Road, originally conceived as a public house. The buildings are two storeys high and have a slate roof, with a hip at the west end and flat eaves. They are constructed of red brick, and feature five windows in total, with numbers 11 and 15 each having two windows. The windows are sash windows with four panes, set within architrave frames. The lower windows are set within slightly segmental arches. Numbers 11 and 15 have wooden boarded doors, also within slightly segmental arches; the door to number 11 covers a passageway through the house. Number 13 has a six-panelled door, with the top four panels cut away and glazed, set in reveals and features narrow pilasters with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets above. Timber framing is visible in the west wall.
