Description
The Old House at Home Public House is an 18th-century building located on Love Lane. It is two stories high and was originally constructed with chequered brick, featuring timber-framed upper gable ends, which are now covered with stucco. The building has a thatched roof and includes two 3-light leaded casement windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light metal casements set in segmental recessed arches, each previously fitted with a wide single hinged shutter. The corners of the building have plain wooden doors and applied vertical strips of moulding. There is a 19th-century extension at the north-east end, which has a slate roof and a higher frontage, also two stories tall with two bays.
