Description

The County Library, originally a National School, was built in 1871 by Nesfield. It is an L-shaped building constructed primarily of red brick. The south wing is single-storey and has four windows. A gabled porch is located at the south end, with a bell-turret and chimney combined above it. The north-east wing is two-storeys high; the first floor is tile-hung and features two windows. This wing has a gable facing east. The roof is tiled.
