Description
Beam Ends Cottage and No. 16 is a pair of cottages dating from the 16th century, featuring a timber frame core. In the early 18th century, they were encased in red brick. The cottages have a plain tile roof with two internal gable end stacks; the eastern stack has an early brick base and a 16th-century moulded bressumer in the inglenook inside. There are two large gable additions to the rear, added around 1975. The front elevation includes a plinth and floor band, with four 20th-century casement windows in the original openings and two segmental-headed doors. They were formerly known as Church Cottages.
