Description
This barn, located immediately west-southwest of Netherwylde Farm House, dates from the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick and cement base, with weatherboarding on the exterior. The roof is clad in corrugated material and has half-hipped ends. The barn consists of eight bays and includes scattered doors and inserted windows. There is a threshing bay at the far end, also with a half-hipped roof, and a lean-to addition towards the house. Inside, the structure showcases angled queen struts that clasp the purlins, along with curved braces connecting straight posts to straight tie beams, and tension braces within the walling.
