Description
The London Coal Duty Marker, located immediately northwest of numbers 2 and 4 Marble Arch Cottages, dates from 1861. It was cast by H. Grissell at the Regents Canal Ironworks. This marker is made of cast iron and features a square pier with chamfered corners and a pyramid top, which is partly buried. The necking of the marker displays the City of London crest, and the front face is inscribed with '24 Vict'.
