Description
This barn, located approximately 60 metres southeast of Wycke Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn has five bays that run north to south, featuring a midstrey on the east side and lean-to extensions on both sides, including a lean-to extension on the west side of the south end. It retains its original great doors and winnowing doors. Inside, there is primary straight bracing, face-halved and bladed scarfs in the wallplates, some arched braces, and bolted knees to the tiebeams, along with a clasped purlin roof. The original threshing floor is made of stone flags.
