Description

This is a barn located to the north-west of Wyken Hall, dating from the early 18th century, with remnants of 16th-century framing visible along the south wall. The structure is timber-framed and weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It features nine bays, with windows added to the end bays on both the east and west sides. There are two porches along the north side of the barn. The trusses are supported by bolted-on kneed braces, and the roof consists of 15 bays, featuring two rows of unstepped butt purlins and a ridge piece. Inside, there are brick threshing floors.
