Description

This is a small barn or coach house located about 10 meters southeast of Old St. Mary's in Elstree, dating from the 18th century. It features a brick base with a timber frame, some of which is exposed, and is finished with weatherboarding and tile hanging. The roof is tiled and the structure consists of two bays. There are blocked openings in the brick base, with a later door added to the west and gable end windows. Inside, the central tie beam truss has slightly curved braces, while straight queen struts clasp purlins and intermediate collars are also present.
