DATCHWORTH DATCHWORTH GREEN TL 21 NE (Southwest side) 3/33 No. 39 (Hopkyn's Hoo) 24.11.66 (formerly listed as Hopkyn's Hoo) - II

House. Early to mid C17. Timber frame on brick base, rendered and weatherboarded. Thatched reed roof. Small 2 cells, lobby entry. 1 storey and attic. Central entrance, 6 panelled door with upper glazing, flanking slightly recessed 2 light small pane casements with small hoodboards. 2 light small pane gabled dormers with C19 shaped bargeboards. Decorative thatching on ridge. Central ridge stack, rebuilt. Right end weatherboarded. Left end weatherboarded ground floor with small pane single light casements. Catslide roof over continuous lean-to outshut to rear with a door and small single light casements. Interior not inspected.
