Description

A semi-detached pair of cottages dating from the mid-19th century, located on Widford Road in Much Hadham. The cottages were built using yellow stock brick in a rat trap bond, and have an old tile roof with a half-hipped centre gable. They are one and a half storeys in height. The two main windows on each floor are 8/8 sash windows with horns. Smaller sash windows and fixed pane windows are set within tile roof porches on the north and south gable ends. Additional windows, some 4/4 sashes of varying sizes and heights, are found on the north and south elevations. Plain, gabled rear extensions have been added, constructed of yellow stock brick, one to the north and one to the south.
