Description

Wood View is an early 19th-century house constructed of red brick, originally detached but now joined to the west by a mid-19th century terrace of cottages, two of which are now incorporated into the property. The house has a slate hipped roof, and two storeys. Its symmetrical south elevation features a wooden projecting porch with thin Tuscan columns and a reeded soffit to the cornice. The front has eight-pane sashes on the ground floor and six-pane sashes above. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the front. The adjoining cottages are built of Cambridge gault brick with slate hipped roofs; they have two sets of doors and windows, with two windows above, and stone lintels to the ground floor openings.
