Description
Windmill Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, which has been extended to the rear and subdivided in the 19th century, but is now a single residence. This two-storey house features a cellar and is constructed of red brick that has been painted white. The roof is steep and covered with old red tiles, adorned with a decorative ridge.
On the south front, there is a central door accessed by six steps, with a projecting floorband and three sash windows grouped together above it on the upper floor. To the right of the door are two additional windows, while to the left is a double sash window. The cellar has two windows set into a plinth. The recessed sash windows have flat gauged red brick arches that are visible through the paint.
There is a 19th-century stucco eared door surround and cornice above the door leading into the rear part of the house on the east side. The half-glazed door has small panes and is also accessed by four steps, with an iron handrail.
