Description
The coach house at Little Briggens, built around 1895, is a notable structure featuring red brick, tile hanging, and half-timbering, topped with a red pantiled roof. It is a wide, shallow building with two storeys in the center and symmetrical lean-to sections on either side. The tall central section is distinguished by brick pilasters and has an open ground floor with a deep wooden beam. The upper part is decorated with tile hanging and includes a central boarded door leading to the hayloft, a half-timbered gable, and a wavy bargeboard with a pierced pendant. Each brick wing has one window set into the red brick wall. The stables, accessed from the central part, feature segmental arched heads, moulded brick sills, and small paned hopper windows. The coach house is listed for its group value.
