Description

Polcon, formerly known as Tyne Cottage, is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and features a timber frame. The ground floor is made of painted brick, while the upper storey has panelled pargetting that slightly projects over a moulded wooden cornice. The building has a steep roof covered with old red tiles. A 19th-century panelled door is located on the south side, sheltered by a bracketed and tiled open-gabled hood. The windows on the ground and first floors are casements arranged in groups of two and three, with wooden glazing bars.
