Description
The Manor House is a house that was rebuilt in 1839. It features a symmetrical front made of yellow gault brick and large rear extensions that imitate half-timbering. The building has an old tiled roof and stands two storeys tall. The front has three windows, with a slightly projecting gabled centre that includes cusped bargeboards and a half-timbered tympanum. There is a square wooden porch with four moulded arches, carved spandrels, and a tiled roof, leading to a panelled door with sidelights. The windows on the ground floor have moulded lintels and sills, featuring small pane mullioned and transomed casements, while the first floor has two-pane sash windows.
On the north elevation, there is a ground floor canted bow casement, a half-glazed Tudor arch door with a bracketed hood, and single sash windows on the first floor. The half-timbered rear extension has an external stack with angled flues. The picturesque rear elevation includes gabled centre dormers and two projecting gabled ends, with ornate half-timbering that features diagonal and crossed braces, along with some brick nogging. Various windows on the north ground floor include a Regency sash bow, and on the first floor, there are bracketed, projecting casements on both the north and south sides.
