Description
The Old Court House is a building that was originally a courthouse and is now a house. It likely dates back to the 16th century but has been significantly altered and refaced in the late 19th century in a Tudor style. The structure is made of red brick and features three windows, with the northern window being painted as part of Woodham House. It has an old tiled roof with a slightly projecting gable end on the south side and two gabled dormers, all adorned with bargeboards that match those of Woodham House. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door located beneath a three-light fanlight and a stepped hood mould. On the ground floor, there are mullioned and transomed windows with small pane casements, which have moulded stone sills and chamfered wooden lintels. This building was formerly the Court House that was attached to the Sheriff's house.
