Description

The Old Tavern is a house that likely dates from the 17th century or earlier. It was refronted in the early 18th century and again in the early 19th century. The building features painted brick and has a steep old tile roof with a yellow brick stack on the left side. It is two storeys high and has four nearly square 6/6 sash windows on the first floor, with plain pilasters at each end. On the ground floor, there are twin doors with reeded architraves, a 6/6 sash window on the south side, and a triple hung sash window on the north side, all situated beneath a fascia cornice and a plastered parapet.
