Description

Batemans is a house that features an 18th-century front and a 16th-century timber frame. The exterior has modern panelled pargetting with a brick band visible below the parapet, and it is topped with a steep old tile roof. The building has two storeys and four windows. The ground floor was originally a 19th-century shop, which has grooved wooden pilasters on either side of large modern casement windows and a door on the north side. The first floor has modern sash windows. Inside, the timber framing is exposed.
