Description
Nottinghams is a house dating from the 17th century, with its walls heightened and a flatter pitched roof added in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame resting on a red brick sill, with roughcast walls and a weatherboarded first floor on the rear wing, while the ground floor of the wing is cased in red brick. The roof is slate. This two-storey house has a three-cell layout and a central chimney, with a lobby-entry plan that faces east and includes a two-storey rear wing projecting to the northwest. The front of the house has three windows on each floor, consisting of small-paned two- and three-light flush casement windows that have been renewed. There is also a half-glazed panelled door set in a moulded surround, topped with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets. The house features 19th-century bargeboards with pendants at the ends and a dripboard across the gable over the wallplate ends.
