Description
Rosewood Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century that was refronted in the late 18th century and has had later alterations. The building features a timber frame with curved braces and brick infill on the rear wing and the upper part of the right gable. The front is made of red and vitreous brick, which includes a plain plinth, a first floor band course, and offset eaves. The roof is tiled and from the 20th century, half-hipped to the left, with 20th-century brick chimneys on either side. The house is L-shaped, with two storeys and two bays. It has wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars and segmental heads; the ground floor right window has four lights, while the others have three lights. There are concrete steps leading up to a central flush-panelled door that is top-lit and has a cambered head.
