Description

Windmill Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. It features some timber framing on the left side and rear gable, while the rest of the structure has been rebuilt using red and vitreous brick in the 18th and 19th centuries. The cottage has a 20th-century pantile roof and an early 19th-century brick chimney on the left side. It is two storeys high with a cellar and consists of two bays. The gable facing the street has three-light wooden casements on the first floor, which are barred and have cambered heads, along with a boarded opening to the basement. The left side of the cottage includes two paired barred wooden casements on the first floor, a similar 20th-century window on the ground floor to the left, and a central boarded door with a lean-to hood supported by brackets.
