Description
10 Station Road is a house that dates from the late 17th century, with elements from the 18th century and later. It is built on the site of what may have been the solar end of an adjoining late 13th and early 14th century aisled hall. The house is timber-framed and clad in brick, featuring a gabled wing in English bond and a bay to the right in Flemish bond. The roof is tiled. The structure includes a gabled crosswing and a single bay to the right, with a rebuilt stack to the left of the gabled wing. The front features a 20th-century door and oak casements with leaded lights, including those in the gable, which have mullions and transoms. Internally, the exposed frame can be seen on the upper floor and the rear ground floor, possibly relating to the earlier structure to the west. There is a large internal stack with a former oven located at the rear.
