Description
Church Cottage is a small house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The rear wall features timber framing with brick infill, while the front wall and gables were rebuilt in pale brick during the 19th century. The house has an old tiled roof, a 17th-century brick chimney on the right, and a 20th-century chimney on the left. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and consists of two bays. The windows are 20th-century wooden casements with three lights. The entrance is located in a 19th-century lean-to at the rear. Inside, the ground floor room on the right has a moulded spine beam and stop-chamfered joists, some of which have been renewed. The left room features a stop-chamfered spine beam, and there is an original partition wall with diagonal braces.
