Description
No. 3 Church Road is a house and shop that underwent 19th-century remodelling of an earlier building, which may date back to the 17th century. The exterior features brick with weatherboarding, possibly covering a timber frame on the right gable. It has an old tile roof and a central brick chimney that was rebuilt in the 19th century. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of two bays. The ground floor includes a late 19th-century shop front on the left with a flush panelled door, and a barred horizontal sliding sash window on the right. The first floor has 19th-century four-pane sash windows. Old purlins and wall plates are visible in the right gable. The interior has not been seen. This building is included for its group value.
