Description
No. 11 Market Place is a house and shop dating from around 1600. It features a timber-framed structure with a lath and plaster front and a modern pantile roof, along with a brick stack. The building stands three stories tall with an attic and has two bays. The early 19th-century shop front has windows divided by glazing bars into small panes, which curve into a central recess. It includes three-quarter glazed double doors with two circular bosses on each bottom panel, channeling for original wooden shutters, and a moulded cornice above. There are two pairs of 19th-century sash windows on the first and second floors, which are flush framed. Inside, the first floor contains early 19th-century panelling, and there is a stone ovolo mullion window at the rear.
