Description

The Bell Hotel is a hotel built around 1850. It is constructed from Doulting Limestone rubble with painted freestone detailing and features rendered stacks topped with a modern pantile roof. The building has three stories and two bays, with sash windows set in plain stone architraves. The main entrance has a broad door opening framed by a rusticated ashlar surround, featuring double panelled doors and a transom light above. Above the main door, there is an arched recess within an architrave, topped with an open pediment that contains a bell. A plain plaster tablet is positioned above this feature.
