Description

The Assembly Room, located at the rear of No 7 High Street, is an early 19th-century building that has been converted into a warehouse. It features a rendered exterior and a single pitch roof covered with asbestos sheets. The structure is two stories tall and has three bays, with sash windows that include glazing bars set in moulded surrounds. The ground floor is arcaded with six segmental arches supported by ashlar piers, although these arches are now all blocked. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and a pent roof, which was originally gabled. There is a doorway to the first floor on the left side, framed with a stone surround and keystone, accessible by a flight of 14 steps.
