Description
The Lawn is a house dating from around 1750, featuring a rendered exterior and a plain tile roof. This Georgian town house is "L"-shaped in plan and is attached to Beech House. The main facade is on the two inner faces of the "L" and consists of three bays, with two storeys and an attic. The ground and first floors on the left have tripartite windows, while the right side has single light openings, all fitted with glazing bar sash infills. The front door, which is 6-panelled, is set at the angle of the "L" and features a semi-circular headed architrave, an arched fanlight, and a triangular pediment supported by tall moulded brackets. The house has a mansard roof and an ashlared stack on the left side. On the left return, there is a tripartite window on the ground floor, which is covered by a tented canopy supported by plain iron brackets.
