5/30 Architectural Fragment in Japanese Garden at - Garden House 10m to WNW of house

Architectural fragment. Mid C19 said to be from Barry's Palace of Westminster, brought here after being displaced in a Fenian outrage of 1932. Carved freestone. A large octagonal drum with each face carved in relief with a coat of arms associated with the royal family, surmounted by a coronet.
